Welcome to Improve American Dream
Empowering families, strengthening communities, and building a fairer America for all. Together, we can improve the American Dream.
Improve American Dream
Welcome to Improve American Dream, where we advocate for a fair and equitable immigration system that recognizes the contributions of long-term visa holders and their families. Our mission is to ensure that those who have invested in the American economy and community are given the opportunities they deserve to build a brighter future in the United States.
EAD for American Children of Long-term Visa Holders
At Improve American Dream, we believe that children of long-term visa holders, who have grown up and attended high school in the United States, should have the opportunity to stay and thrive in the country they call home. Similar to DACA recipients. This provision would enable them to work legally, pursue higher education, and contribute to the economy, just like their peers. Their parents are law-abiding residents who pay taxes, buy homes, and create jobs, and their children deserve the same opportunities to succeed.
Filing Date Option for Adjustment of Status
We advocate for the ability of long-term visa holders with approved I-140 petitions (H1B visa holders) to file for adjustment of status (I-485) based on the filing date. Allowing this would provide numerous benefits, including the ability to reinvest in the American economy, travel freely with advance parole, and create new businesses. It would also grant employer portability, fostering innovation and economic growth. By removing barriers to adjustment of status, we can help these individuals and their families fully integrate into American society and continue contributing to its prosperity.
Removal of Per-country Quota for Green Cards
The current per-country quota for green cards creates significant backlogs and delays for applicants from countries with higher demand. We advocate for the elimination of these quotas to ensure a fair and efficient green card allocation system. By reallocating unused green cards to countries with greater demand, we can reduce waiting times and allow more qualified individuals to obtain permanent residency. This change would benefit the American economy by retaining skilled workers who drive innovation and growth.
